Head Coach, Israel Women’s National Water Polo Team
The Israel Water Polo Association (IWPA) invites applications for the position of Head Coach of the Israel Women’s National Team.
The immediate focus will be the preparation and participation in the 2026 European Championship (26 January – 6 February 2026), as part of the team’s long-term pathway toward the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The position is initially offered through February 2026, with the possibility of extension through December 2028 based on performance and mutual agreement.
Position Overview
• Lead the Women’s National Team in preparation and participation for the European Championship.
• Build and implement a short-term high-performance plan aligned with IWPA’s longterm Olympic strategy.
• Collaborate with IWPA staff and domestic clubs to optimize athlete readiness and development.
• Maintain discipline, professionalism, and a positive team culture.
• Represent IWPA and Team Israel in international forums and competitions.
Key Requirements
• Certified water polo coach (national or international level).
• Proven experience coaching women’s teams at elite level (national team or topdivision club).
• Extensive, proven experience in leading national teams or elite clubs over multiple seasons, including participation in major international tournaments (European, World, or Olympic level).
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing team structure and timeline.
• Fluent English – required
• Availability for immediate start and full-time commitment through February 2026.
Employment Terms
• Contract period: Immediate start through February 2026, with an option to extend through December 2028.
• Location: Primarily based in Israel, with international travel as required.
• Reporting to: IWPA CEO and High-Performance Director.
• Contract type: Full-time, terms to be defined with the selected candidate.
• Remuneration: Competitive and commensurate with experience.
